A Royal Wedding

If you haven’t heard, there’s a royal wedding this weekend. Yes, Prince Harry is off the market and marrying Meghan Markle Saturday May 19th.

I can’t even imagine what goes into such an undertaking as a royal wedding. Most likely I won’t be getting up at 4am to watch here in the U.S.. That’s what my DVR is for so I’ll tape it to watch later.

Since I had the wedding on my mind, I did a quick search on crown embroidery patterns. Shortly after that I went down a rabbit hole finding all kinds of lovely ideas for the theme of a royal wedding.

Crowns and Tiaras

Let’s start with crowns and tiaras.

Monograms

What royal wedding would be complete without the use of monograms on napkins, doilies, etc. so I found a fancy, you could even say royal alphabet to embroider.

The first one has tiny rosebuds and leaves intertwined with the letters.

The second set of letters is even more ornate.

Wedding Bells

French Knots: All Things Stitchy has the prettiest set of wedding bells I think I’ve seen. Just imagine the lovely colors you could use to stitch this pattern up.
