Bunny, Baby Chicks and Hens Cross Stitch Charts

How are you doing?

Sincerely, how are you doing? I’m thinking of you and wondering if you’re experiencing some of the same thoughts I have. I know you probably are. One day I’m okay and feel like everything is going to be fine, then the next day, I’m nervous and unsure about our future.

I hope with all my heart, you’re doing okay as you sift through the multitude of information we receive, just trying to keep up to date on this virus and what we are supposed do.

I’ve stopped counting how many days I’ve stayed in. I can’t even imagine having children home every day, mostly inside. Keeping them occupied, doing school work and limiting their outside activities.

There is some good in all of this. People coming together while apart. Helping one another, acts of kindness, spending time as a family, slowing down.

We will get through this, I know we will, but for now it’s a little hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Through good days and bad, please know I’m thinking of you and wishing you the very best. Hoping you stay safe and healthy.

Cross Stitch Charts for Easter

I kept starting then stopping while writing this post. I’d sit down to put it together, then my mind would wander and I’d just shut down and space out for a while. But finally I pulled it together and found these cute cross stitch charts.

The old DMC cross stitch booklets never disappoint. I took a look in a couple of mine and found this cute bunny, baby chicks and hens.

bunny cross stitch chart
baby chicks cross stitch chart
hens cross stitch chart

There are no stitch sizes given in the booklet so it will depend on the size of fabric you use. Each block in the chart is a 10 x 10 space, so you could count that way. The Hens would be 3 blocks plus one space on each side so 32 across and 90 spaces tall, 32W x 90H.

The PDF file includes the DMC color codes, but if you’d like to download just the cross stitch charts from the post, you can by right clicking on the image, then selecting “save image as” Or simply click on it, it will open in a new window and save it from there.

PDF File Download

You’ll find all three of these charts and the DMC numbers and colors of floss for each in the one page PDF file below.

Download Instructions: You can use the Download button above or Right-Click the link and select either “save target as” or “save link as” depending your browser. Also, you can click on it, it will open in another window and there you can save or print it.

Same here girls- doing masks, and I am so afraid for our future. What good is closing every “non essential” business- can not we as adults take precautions ourselves? These people will all go broke- no renters are paying rent, & the landlords aren’t able to make ends meet themselves. My husband badly needs a haircut, yet salons are “non-essential”. This is a travesty. It is worse than a crime. I have SOME food and things stocked up- but how long will they last? I hear rumors of food shortages in the future, from smart people- not theorists or people who say stupid things- these are professionals, and their predictions are scary. God bless- & don’t let them turn our country into another China- or what was the name of that book (I own it, but can’t remember the title) about “it couldn’t happen here” (NOT the Sinclair Lewis book) I think about Romania, or Bulgaria- how it so quickly devolved into Communism- & how so many of it’s citizenry literally starved to death. Those who did not own a goat, cow, or had farm animals or a large garden starved. I should read it again.. but it may be too depressing. Let’s hope for the best. Don’t shun or sneer at those wearing masks- they are doing what they can to try & prevent a dreadful illness (why are Americans so silly about not taking precautions!) anyway- let’s hope for the best. God bless.

and before I forget- Thank you Debra for the delightful projects! It’s like a bit of sunshine.

My mind does wander into all the what if’s, but I really do have faith that we will come on the other side of this okay. Everything won’t be perfect, but I’m convinced the best scientists are working on a protocol for treating it and a vaccine.

The cloth masks being sewn are going to be so helpful in beating this. Thank you to all those that are taking their time and resources sewing them. I was able to pick up a Walmart grocery order on Wednesday. Got everything I needed. My daughter has chickens so we have lots of eggs plus she’s giving them to her co-workers in the county tax office, apparently an essential job.

A hair cut ~ I was going to go right before all this started (my first time since being bald from chemo), I actually cut a couple inches off myself because it was driving me crazy. Oh well, that might be the first thing I do once this is over. Imagine how busy all those beauty parlors and barber shops will be once back in business.

Our country will come back, maybe not the same, but maybe even better. In the meantime, I’m staying safe, using caution, only listening to enough news to stay informed (if I watch too much I feel myself going down the rabbit hole), talking with family, looking for ways to help my community and praying. Oh, and writing this blog.

      Everyone take care.

Thank you for the charts.I am feeling like you described… okay one minute, then not, I thought I would be making lots of crafty progress, but I cannot concentrate, I am sewing masks.
    Stay safe!

You’re welcome. I’ve been crocheting, nothing fancy, it helps. Those masks are really needed. It’s so nice to see crafters stepping up to help.
