Filet Crochet Edging Patterns

America celebrated July 4th Independence Day this week. When I came across these patriotic symbol patterns in filet crochet I thought they’d be fun to share. These towels would fit right in many times during the year or if your home decor style is Americana.

Corticelli Thread Company

I’ve shared patterns from the Corticelli Company books before. They put out some great crochet patterns.

Check out this blog post from 2011 that has several quick and easy crochet gift patterns. Besides the gift patterns there is a snippet about the history of the Corticelli Company and their cute kitten logo.

These designs come from a 1919 booklet titled Corticelli Lessons in Crochet Book No. 9. Pattern booklets from the early 1900’s are some of my favorites.

These filet crochet edging charts could also be used for cross stitch or needlepoint. Such as, after printing, choose one symbol or several to trace to create your own cross stitch picture.
