Vests to Crochet and Knit
Recently I shared this image of vintage vests on the Vintage Textile and Needlework Sellers, VTNS for short, Facebook page.
As I was looking for a vintage pattern to share today, imagine my surprise when the leaflet that showed this photo was right in front of my file of “things to share.”
So now we have the patterns to go along with the photo. It was said to be from the 1970’s but the actual date on the leaflet is 1969, so very close.
It’s a Fashion Ready-to-Make Columbia-Minerva Leaflet 2517. Only 35¢ when purchased new.
There are several other vest and cap patterns within this leaflet, but I’ll save those for another day.

Love the names of these vests.
Number V-1 is “THE” VEST
Number V-2 is WAY OUT VEST
and Number V-3 is ART DECO VEST.
Both one and two are crochet patterns, but the Art Deco Vest is a knitting pattern.
