Grape Placemat Crochet Pattern
I’ve steered away from doing a crochet pattern for the last few posts, but I can’t stay away from it too long. Going through the vintage booklets (most of mine are crochet) I see the prettiest patterns.
Today’s pattern is no exception. A pretty – Grape Mat – from a vintage 1950’s booklet titled Doilies, Lily Design Book No. 79. Rather than the usual rectangular placemat, this one is round.
It’s worked in sections then a grape motif in a contrasting color is sewn on.
Daisy Mercerized Crochet Cotton
Lily Mills Company manufactured Daisy Mercerized Crochet Cotton that this Grape Mat is made with.

The mat is Turquoise and the Grapes are in white. It ends up with a finished size of 15½ inches in diameter.

Abbreviations
It’s always best to include the abbreviations with the crochet pattern, that way if a question arises about them this may help to answer it.
