I’m looking for TRUE huck toweling to purchase by the yard. I saw a website a few years back but now I cannot find it. I want yardage NOT towels.
Please if you have a source share it with me. Private or public.
You can try JoAnn online has monk fabric by the yard. You can use any evenweave fabric for huck weaving. Walmart and Etsy also have Monks Cloth by the yard. I’d check those places out and see if it’s what you’re looking for. Searching for Monks Cloth rather than Huck Weaving fabric brings up more listings. Hope that helps.
I am searching for a girl’s turtleneck sweater pattern – very simple, as she wants lots of color in the sweater so it won’t need much more than that. Any help? I saw the Boy’s Raglan sweater and hoped to see some girls’ sweater patterns too.
Sorry I didn’t see your comment sooner. I haven’t come across a turtleneck sweater pattern for a girl. I may have seen one or two for men, not sure, but I’ll keep a look at and let you know if I see one. Thanks! Debra
Hi Debra,
I have been looking for a pattern of a quick and easy knit vest I made in late ’60’s. I saw the picture of the cover you showed of Columbia Minerva INVEST and I was so excited. The blue vest on the left looked similar to the ones I had made, but then I saw it was crochets!!!! The pattern I’m looking for was made by wrapping yarn in one row and procedding to the next row and the wrapped yarn was dropped making a loose look like the vertical chains in the blue INVEST. (YOu can see I’m very foggy on the details!). But , the end result look similar to the blue vest on the cover. Have you ever seen a knit (60’s) pattern like the Columbia Minerva? Now I’m wondering if I just used a pattern that my mom may have clipped from the Boston Globe!
Fingers crossed!!!!
Thank you from a 60’s girl now in her 70’s with a grandaughter in her her 20’s with a love of vintage and retor designs!
Sincerely hopeful,
Kathy
Hi Kathy,
No, all the ones I’ve come across that have that open lace look are crocheted patterns. What you described kind of sounds like Hairpin Lace, but I’m not sure. I even checked the Antique Pattern Library and didn’t see anything in the knitting patterns similar to what you’re looking for.
I’m sure it’s out there somewhere.
Thanks for your question.
Debra
