Free Vintage Crochet Pattern Bird Chair Set

Chair Back and Armrest

Bird Filet Crochet Pattern ~ I’ve seen a couple of bird chair set patterns available on the internet but this one I really like. It has the birds facing each other with decorative crochet around them.

The chair back has a set of four birds and the armchair has two of the same bird profile. I can see this filet crochet pattern used for a pretty window valance as-well-as a chair set.

The Chair Back measures 9½ inches x 15 inches and the armrest is 7 inches x 9½ inches.

Bird Chair Set Chart

To follow a filet crochet pattern you need a chart. This bird chair set is no exception. There are instructions with the photo as well.

How to Follow a Filet Crochet Chart

Here are two internet sites that explain how to follow a filet crochet chart with photos to accompany the instructions.

First is Filet Crochet Patterns and Guides on the Yarnspirations website.

And another is from The Spruce Crafts website: The Basics of Filet Crochet. There you’ll find what a mesh is and how to make them.
