Today’s Freebie is slippers for him. I’ve done plenty of posts for slippers for her, but as June and Father’s Day approaches, I thought I’d share a vintage pattern for him.
Now Dad could go slip sliding around on hard wood floors with these slippers unless you add some type of grips to the bottom, but they will keep his feet warm while sitting on the couch or bed. They may even be a nice project to make for people that are confined to a wheelchair or bed in rehab or assisted living facilities.
These are made with heavy rug yarn and a crochet hook size No. 00 or bulky yarn and a crochet hook size G. Gauge is 4 stitches (sts) = 1 inch.
Instructions are given for a Medium size (8 to 9) 10 inches long or a Large size (9 to 10) 11 inches long.
