Doll clothing patterns have always been a great seller on ebay. Whether they are clothes patterns for sewing, crochet or knitting, doll clothing is fun to make and dolls are fun to dress.
There are several different size dolls people collect and children play with, but one of the most popular is the 10½ inch fashion doll such as Barbie™.
Today I’ve found two different clothing patterns for these dolls. One is a crochet pattern and the other is knitted. They are called Night and Day from an American Thread Company Star Doll Book.
Both of the dress patterns use Mercerized Crochet Cotton Article 40. A No. 7 crochet hook for the crochet pattern and No. 2 pair of knitting needles for the knitting pattern.
The crocheted doll dress has a pretty flared skirt that can be accented with lace ribbon and crinoline or taffeta under the skirt. The knitted dress includes a sweater, skirt and hat with lots of fringe.
