The pattern uses American Thread Company “Dawn” Bulky Yarn.

The earlier Bulky Yarn was 100% wool, but this is 50/50 Wool/Nylon. It also states on the package 2 Fold ~ 2 ounces, washable colors and anti-shrink, anti-stretch.

I did a search on Amazon and there are several bulky yarns I think would work well with this pattern.

I like this Mary Maxim Marvelous Chunky Yarn. These shades of blue are definitely my colors and would undoubtedly make a pretty top.
