Tussie-Mussie

Floral Embroidery Patterns ~ Below you’ll find a page of pretty floral embroidery patterns. One of the patterns is a tussie-mussie or nosegay, which is a small flower bouquet that is given as a gift. It has been around for centuries. Traditionally, doilies bind the stems for the small arrangements.

The term tussie-mussie comes from the reign of Queen Victoria. During this time they were a popular fashion accessory. Often tussie-mussies use floral symbolism from the language of flowers to send a message to the recipient.
