Mardi Gras
Dolls From the Mardi Gras ~ Mardi Gras is next Tuesday. French for “Fat Tuesday”, it is a time for eating rich and fatty foods before fasting during the Lenten season.
Dolls From the Mardi Gras Dresses
These doll dresses are made with J&P Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen thread in metallic colors. The crochet thread is a size 10.
You can find J&P Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen most of the time on Etsy and Ebay but for a substitute I came across this Aunt Lydia’s Metallic 10 on Amazon.
It comes in Gold, Natural/Gold, White/Silver, Silver/Silver, and White/Pearl. All very pretty color thread for a doll party dress.
One dress is short and the other is long. Each will fit a 7½ inch doll.
There is also a doll clown costume pattern to crochet.
Abbreviations
Here’s a list of crochet abbreviations for the patterns. This is included with the PDF file.
