Lovely Lacy Placemat
This pretty placemat, Motifs for Lunch is made up of 1¾” motifs. The mat measures 16½” x 11½” using 54 of the small motifs. Nine across and 6 down.
Once the motifs are joined, a pretty edge is crocheted around it.
Motifs Close-Up
The close up shows what a pretty pattern this is. You wouldn’t have to limit yourself to using the motif for only a placemat. It could be an insert for a towel or tablecloth and many other uses.
This motif crochet pattern was found in an American Thread Star Book No. 228, Doilies Knitted-Crocheted and Tatted. I’ll be sharing more from this booklet in the future.
