Welcome to this Friday’s VTNS Fan Freebie!

How to Make Fringe - Vintage Crafts and More

Adding fringe or tassels to any crochet or knit project is easy and fun to do.

This pattern sheet of instructions for knotted fringe was found in a 1953 American Thread booklet for crocheted and knitted Stoles and Shrugs.

Normally, we think of fringe as the finishing touch for an afghan, but these knotted fringe and tassels would look great on scarves, rugs, blankets, pillows, and more.

They are made using any type or color of yarn that would match your project, wool, nylon or cotton.
