Rosebud Sachet Vintage Crochet Pattern

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Rosebud Sachet Vintage Crochet Pattern ~ Instructions for crocheting a sweet rosebud sachet for Valentine’s Day and many other uses.

Rosebud Sachet Vintage Crochet Pattern

The freebie share today is a pretty rosebud sachet crochet pattern. It was found in the booklet Lily’s Album of Crocheted Designs with a copyright of 1944.

If you don’t want to use it as a sachet, it’s still pretty enough to be a nice addition to a wrapped package, a decoration for items such as pillows, clothing and linens. And I’m sure you can think of many more.

The good thing is it won’t die in a couple days like a living rose and no thorns.

Materials to Crochet the Rosebud

You’ll need Daisy Mercerized Crochet Cotton Size 10. The color used with this pattern is Salmon Rose, but the color is your choice. Lily Skytone in Shaded Green is used for the leaves and stem. Crochet hook Size 7.

Find more information on these threads in this post that has illustrated ads on discontinued threads.

Two good substitutes for the vintage Daisy and Lily thread are Red Heart Classic Crochet Thread and Aunt Lydia’s Crochet Thread Classic 10. The Red Heart ball has 300 yards so costs less than the Aunt Lydia’s which has 1,000 yards.
