Minute Crochet Slippers for the Whole Family Fast and Easy to Make

Minute Crochet Slippers

These minute slippers are in sizes for ladies, men and children. The slippers have ribbed insteps. I believe this crochet pattern may have come in a kit or as a free pattern with the purchase of the Phentex yarn years ago.

The length of the sole for the ladies slippers is 8 inches. The men’s are 10 inches and the children’s are 7 inches. Both the men and children’s sizes are in parenthesis in the pattern.

Phentex Slipper and Craft Yarn

The slippers are crocheted with Phentex 100% Olefin 3 ply yarn that can be machine washed. I found a couple sources for this Slipper and Craft Yarn — Amazon, Yarnspirations, and Mary Maxim.

A Size H or I crochet hook is suggested, for a larger size slipper, use a larger hook.

Crocheting in Front Loops Only

As you can see below in the second page of directions on Rnd 5 it states — “Edge of sole. WORKING IN FRONT LOOPS FOR THIS ROUND ONLY Ch 1, sc.”

Round 5 Minute Crochet Slippers

This can be a bit confusing so I found a tutorial on the Stitch Diva website that shows Crocheting in the Front or Back of Loops.

Also this YouTube video from Lion Brand Yarn shows you how to crochet through the front loop.
