This week’s pattern is from a leaflet by Coats & Clark’s titled “as seen in Pat Trexler’s Needlework Column.”  The article below is from a 1978 newspaper that writes about who Pat Trexler was and what her columns were about.

This beret or slouchy beanie hat is made with Coats & Clark’s ONT Rug Yarn which is discontinued. The rug yarn was made of 75% Rayon/25% Cotton with 70 yards in each skein. A Crochet Hook Size J/10 is also used.

GAUGE is 5 sc = 2 inches and 3 rounds = 1 inch.
