This crochet pattern is from a 1946 American Thread Company Star Book 45 filled with tried and true crochet favorites. The yarn used, Dawn Knitting Worsted is discontinued.

It was a 100% wool yarn, but it’s not necessary to use that for your afghan. You can substitute any worsted yarn, usually a 4 or medium weight.

The afghan is made up of individual motifs sewn together. You’ll need 70 to make a 42 x 63 inch size.
