Reindeer in the Forest

Today’s freebie is another beautiful vintage Filet Crochet pattern of a Reindeer in the Forest.

Vintage Crafts and More - Filet Crochet Pattern Reindeer in the Forest

Originally a Chair Set that includes the chair back and arm rests, I could see this pretty scene framed with a red cloth background showing through for a holiday themed decor. Not that it wouldn’t be beautiful with a any color background and hung up year round.

I have a copy of this pattern I found on another site (can’t remember where), but the image I have is pretty awful, and the boxes are really hard to see. This looks like someone sharpened up the lines, so THANK YOU to whoever is responsible for making it so clear.

I’m halfway through making this set for my mother-in-law for Christmas.

You’re welcome. I usually try to do the scans in 300dpi and sharpen the images to make them easier to see and follow.

Lucky mother-in-law! What a wonderful gift.

Wow! I can’t believe I actually came across this pattern. When my husband and I got married his maternal grandmother gave us this which was made by his paternal grandmother who had passed away before he was born. His maternal grandmother had it framed with the date it was crocheted and it has hung in our home ever since. It was made in the 60’s. I have always loved this piece and since I also crochet I may attempt one myself. Thanks so much!
